How to Make Easy Decadent Hazelnut Fudge Brownies

8 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus more for greasing the pan

3 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate, coarsely chopped

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 cup hazelnuts

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 pinch salt

1/2 teaspoon hazelnut extract (can substitute vanilla)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Grease a 7-inch x 11-inch oven-proof glass pan with butter and set aside.

  3. In a small skillet, toast hazelnuts. Let cool and then pulse in a small food processor until finely ground.

  4. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate on medium heat, stirring constantly.

  5. Transfer butter and chocolate mix to a stand mixer and blend in eggs one at a time.

  6. Gradually blend in the sugar.

  7. Add the hazelnuts.

  8. Slowly add flour, salt and extract.

  9. Pour batter into greased pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

  10. Insert toothpick in center of pan to check for doneness. The toothpick should come out clean.

  11. Remove from oven and let cool.

  12. Cool on a rack then cut into squares.
