Perfect replacement for my Kitchen Aid mixer
This was a perfect replacement for the Kitchen Aid Professional 550 HD stand mixer that I bought several years ago at my local warehouse store. The one with the matching black knob was $18 more, so I decided to save money and just buy this one (WP9706650) with the "buff" knob. Prior to purchase, I was able to verify that the control board had failed using the procedure in YT video tsAYU9Iy2hs ("KitchenAid Pro 6 easy electrical fix") online. It saved $200 by not having to buy a new one! No instructions were included, but replacing this part is really easy. See the referenced video for a demonstration. There are seven screws to remove, and four well-labeled wire connections to transfer. There also is this black plastic component -- maybe it measures rotation speed? -- that you have to pop out and replace with the one attached to this board.
