Thank you for your question. On the head there is a U shape slot on the side, turn it until you can slide a small screw driver in it to lock the head. From there, loosen the nut on the bottom, I do believe it is a left-handed. Remove the top off the string housing and remove the nut in the center. Replace the top, as if you have finished loading string. Lock it in place as you normally do and the turn the entire housing pulling up at the same time. Spring and the white mechanism will pop out and then all you have to do is lift the string housing base off the trimmer head. Note it will take you a few tries but once it comes off you will see how easy it is to remove.
