Is there a reset button on the kenmore toploading washer model # 110.2002201? Kenmore top loading model # 110.2002201

My washer got off balance when spinning. Now I can't get it to move off of the spin cycle. I have unplugged the machine hoping it would clear itself. I have redistributed the clothes in the washer. I have taken the clothes completely out. I have add more clothes. I have turned the dial to "Drain/Spin" I have turned the dial to "Rinse/Spin" To no avail of any of my efforts. Every time I plug the machine back in, it goes to the spin, tries to spin then stops with the spin light on and the "Lid locked" light blinking. Is there a reset button that will clear the machine so I can start completely over?

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your engine not working correctly. We are here to help.

The lid locked light blinking is a visual error code that your washer has incurred a lid lock failure.  The unit will not reset.  The lid lock may have become faulty during the unbalanced problem that occurred.  If the wiring is still on the switch and if the red wire off the switch does not have 120 volts AC and the blue wire off the door switch is also missing the 120 volts AC.  The lid lock needs to be replaced.

Note: You should only conduct those live voltage checks if you are completely confident in your technical ability to safely measure that live voltage. Wear electrical safety gloves and safety goggles when performing those checks. Unplug the washer as soon as live checks are completed.

If you are not comfortable working with live electricity I recommend you call an Sears Home Services technician to do the troubleshooting for you.

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help.

Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.
