Have a repair or installation question?

My Kenmore 700 series dryer will not heat. 11067751600 Kenmore Residential dryer

I am not sure if it's the element, thermostat or the heat fuse. Any trouble shooting ideas would be great. Thanks.

When an appliance goes out I usually see money going out the window, either in repair cost, or replacement. Managemylife.com can take the mystery out of the repair. Your expert can help you determine if you should consider replacing or repairing an appliance. I did some research for you at this web page and found an expert answer to a similar question which may shed some light on the problem. If you decide to schedule service, and have a qualified technician to assist you, I have attached the link to searshomeservices.com. I hope this will be useful until your expert can respond.

When an electric dryer runs but doesn't heat the first thing to check are the two circuit breakers supplying power to the dryer. If one trips the dryer will have 120 volts to run the motor but not have 240 volts to run the element. The heating circuit is highlighted in the image below. Items circled in red should be checked first if a meter is available to check continuity/resistance. If no meter is available then the control thermostat, thermal cut-off and high limit thermostat can be bypassed to check. I can tell you more about this if you are curious how to do this. I hope this helps. You can reply with any additional details for further assistance.
