Have a repair or installation question?

How old is this freezer? 198618620 Kenmore Coldspot freezer 22.1 cubic ft

Wanted to know how old this model is? I received from my aunt in 1990 and she had for many years before that. We put $100 worth of work into and has been running ever since. It went out yesterday and would love to have it worked on just to see how long it will last. The serial # is 82111535. Thanks

Good morning.... I did a search using the information you've supplied us. The system stated that the serial number was incorrect. Could you please double check your serial number and up date us when you're able? It does sound like you've gotten some excellent service from that unit and I can understand you wanting to keep it. Until we hear from you, have a nice day

Thank you for submitting your question. I understand the need for this information and I will be happy to assist you. I was able to find a great web site that will help you calculate the age of your Kenmore Coldspot freezer. Please click here to view this information. As Henry stated, the serial number provided for the unit is showing as incorrect. The serial number should have a letter or two in it. The serial number is what helps determine the age. In general, our records only go back as far as 1987. So the freezer is much older than that. It was more than likely manufactured between the years of 1970-1989. I know that's very broad but that's all the information I can provide without the serial number. I hope this helps. Please reply back to this thread if you require further assistance. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
