TV's are something we watch daily so when it starts to have problems all we can think about is money out the window. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I suggest you set service with a Sears technician. I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!

Flickering can be a couple of different thing. When the picture flickers is the screen gray or black( like the TV is off). If it is black then the problem would the backlight if it is gray, then it would be a video processing issue. If it is gray, press the menu button and see if the menu stays. Please let me know what you find out and I can further assist you.

i am having the flickering. It happens while watching the set. It is as if the screen is showing an old time movie, as if the frames on a projector are moving too slowly to not see the separation between movie frames. Can this be repaired? I am having a hard time finding qualified service close to where I live
