Why won't the water dispenser work?
Refrigerator model #LRSC26923TT and the dispenser quit working. I can hear the solenoid but no water flow. I'm also having problems with ice collecting in the icemaker fill tube. I removed everything, unplugged the refrigerator, opened the doors and left it overnight to defrost. The next morning, the water dispenser still does not work. Any ideas?

If it gets too cold in the freezer, the reservoir can freeze but from your description of what you did already, the reservoir would no longer be frozen. I suspect the water valve is not opening. To check this, you can remove the water valve assembly that is located behind the refrigerator. First disconnect power to the unit. Take the water line loose that goes under the cabinet to the door. I'm sending you some pictures and instructions how the tube fitting connection works. With the tube loose, reconnect power to the unit and activate the dispenser. Be prepared to catch water that should come out of the valve. If you can hear the solenoid but no water comes out, the valve assembly # 5221JA2006D will need to be replaced. It's available at Sears PartsDirect . If you need more assistance, you can resubmit your question with more details.
