Kenmore elite HE3 dryer power turns on. when push start and hold, it clicks but does not turn on. does not rapid beep, it makes a click sound.

Kenmore Elite he3 mod: 110.82832100 ser: MM0601896 Type: DADT-ELE-2406028-EL54 I don't think it is the door because it does not do the rapid beep 3 times like it does when the door is not properly latched. I think it is another issue because it makes the same CLICK sound that it does before it starts tumbling normally. It just doesn't start tumbling. I am willing to try the door though or whatever else it could be...Thanks

a dryer is an appliance we depend on so much, when there's laundry to be done. while you are waiting for an expert to respond i was able to locate some great information that could possibly assist you with your issue. i have added the link below. hope this helps!

thanks for contacting managemylife. i understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your appliance not working.

the problem you are having with this dryer seems to be the thermal fuse having opened up.    this is a safety fuse that would open it the vent tube was clogged or the lint screen is not allowing air to pass through it.  the problem would need to be corrected and the fuse replaced for solve this type of problem.  you can remove the front lower kick panel be removing two screws and lowering the panel.  the fuse will sit on the blower housing, but the lint filter housing may be in the way so you may have to remove it also.  in the picture more items are removed so you can see the location and the color of the wires.  the fuse is under this link.

please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. we are always here to help.

thank you for using managemylife.com.

i have the same problem and did replace the thermal fuse; however, the problem remains. it lights up and clicks after pressing start - just like normal, but won't start.
