Kenmore 90 Series Washing Machine Leaking

There is a small leak coming from the underside of my 10 year old Kenmore 90 Series Washing machine. It is on the left side, the front corner of the machine. Does it make any sense to try to repair it?

When it comes to getting a detailed answer from the expert a recommendation to help you is adding the model number to the washer to this thread below, this will help the expert do a better diagnose. I have also attached a link below that has some great information that can be very helpful to you. Hope this helps! http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/questions/142252-what-would-cause-a-kenmore-washer-model-11025862400-to-leak-underneath

If you are able to access the components inside the cabinet and find the source of the leak, you may be able to fix the washer yourself and continue to use it. The link provided by Maira E. in the first response above shows how to remove the cabinet. Here is another copy of that link: What would cause a Kenmore washer model 110.25862400 to leak underneath?

Be sure that you unplug the washer and shut off the water supply before accessing internal components.

You may find the drain pump leaking. If you do, you can order a new pump from the Sears PartsDirect website. Unplug the washer and replace the pump using the procedure in the image below.

If the pump is not leaking, you may find a different source of the leak. If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

If you are not able to fix the washer yourself, I recommend that you replace it. Here is a Sears.com link for a current model this is similar to yours: Kenmore White 400 3.2 cu. ft. Top-Load Washing Machine (2942) .
