Maytag Centennial Washer won't spin.
My less-than 2 year old Maytag Centennial Washer (model # MVWC200XW0) will not agitate or spin. I can hear the motor trying to run, and even smell a slightly burnt smell, when trying to run the machine. Water still drains out of the tub. Any clue what might be the problem?

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.
There could be many possible reasons why it will not agitate or spin. The splutch/pulley may have come loose or a wire may have come disconnected from the motor, actuator or capacitor located under the washer. I strongly suggest calling a service technician with the proper training and knowledge of this model washer to diagnose and repair your washer.
If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
