kenmore top loader 110.26002011 is making an extremely loud and constant noise when it goes through the agitation or spin cycle. It sounds like grinding gears.

It could be the dog agitator clutch, check out this link it takes you to searspartsdirect.com so you may see a complete breakdown of your specific model. A technician should be getting back to you for some definitive answers in 2-3 business days, until then good luck!

Thanks for the information about your Kenmore washer model 110.26002011; sorry you are having a problem, I will be glad to assist you.

Based on your description I think there may be a problem with the drive splutch assembly. However your washer will need to be inspected to pinpoint the source of the noise as there are other components that could also cause noisy operation, such as bearings, and transmission gears.  All of these would require teardown to repair or replace.

I hope this helps, if you need additional assistance please reply with more details and I will be happy to respond.    If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services. Ron H.

thanks for the info. sears has a 75 dollar service fee or an agreement of 224.99 and it covers up to 500 if we need a new one or it covers all parts and repairs. would this be something that is going to cost this much?

Ron H , May 06, 2013

Hi Holly, this repair is expensive I would reccommend the SSA agreement. Ron H.
