I know how important it is to have a good working vacuum cleaner in the home so that you can keep your rug nice and clean. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I did manage to find a link that will provide you with some good information to help you with your question. I hope my link is useful.

Thank you for your question.

I can understand your concerns with your vacuum cleaner not working properly.

The first thing I would suggest is to repair the broken circuit breaker because your roller brush will not work if it is broken.

There also is an electronic control board and switches the roller to different speeds and with the reset replaced and the roller brush still does not rotate then it could be the board.

The loss of suction can be caused by the short hose from the nozzle behind the roller brush to the intake hose that goes to the dust compartment.

You will need to flip the vacuum over and remove the screws that hold the sole plate on and then remove the roller brush so you can see if the short hose has a blockage.

I hope this information will help with the repair of your vacuum.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired by a Sears technician. Here is a link that will provide the nearest drop-off locations: Sears Home Services .
