Dryer won't stop running when door opens.

When you open the door on the dryer it will not stop running and the light will not come on. The small black lever on the upper corner inside door is loose. Dryer works ok but will not shut off when door opens.

From the description you give I suspect the door switch/light switch is bad. If you can provide the model number I can provide you with instructions on how to do-it-yourself. The door switch is available from the following site: Sears PartsDirect .

If you can provide a model number I can provide you with a part number and instructions on how to change the door switch as a do-it-yourself project.
