With the dryer making noise can be frustrating. I have done some research on this issue on the Manage My Life website and have came across a link that you may find helpful. While you are waiting for a detailed reply from an expert I have provided the link below. Hope this helps!

I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your dryer. If the dryer makes the noise through the cycle it could be either the drive belt the idler pulley or the drum support rollers. If it is only on start up I would say that it is the drive belt. The only way we will know for sure is if we disassemble the dryer. Remove the screws out from the lower panel and run the dryer to see if you can locate was the noise is coming from. If it is the belt I will send you replacement procedure for the belt. If it is the drum support rollers it is the same procedure with changing those. If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, just click on this link to schedule service: Sears Home Services . I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
