How do I reset my control panel for a Kenmore Elite dishwasher model 665.17462300?

I need to reset the control panel on my dishwasher.

There are two methods that will sometimes reset a control board and console in this type of dishwasher. The first method is to shut off the breaker for about 5 minutes to completely disconnect electrical power. This will sometimes reset a control board that has experienced a power surge or glitch through the electrical power lines. If the control board and console will not respond properly after this reboot, then you may need to replace one or both of these components.

If the clean light is blinking 7 times then pausing and repeating then the control board has detected a fault in the water heating circuit. You can reset this fault code by starting the diagnostic test on the control. I provided the instructions for entering the diagnostic test mode for your model of dishwasher in the image below. If the control accepts these key punches, all of the lights on the console will turn on briefly and then the control will step through a short diagnostic test cycle to check all of the components. The blinking clean light fault will be cleared and the dishwasher will work normally. If the heater circuit fault returns, then the dishwasher will normally need service by a technician. If you have a heater element problem or a water fill problem, this could be causing the clean light to blink.

If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.

Lyle The clean light is not blinking but by doing the sequence in the instructions you provided I did get the board to reprogram. However When I press start nothing happens.
