Kenmore dehumidifier keeps turning off

Kenmore dehumidifier Model 251.50501011, 50 pints Dehumidifier will spontaneously shut off after a few minutes. All lights on top panel are blinking in unison and humidity percent is blinking 88%. If shut off and unplugged will start up again normally but shuts off sgain. Changing settings does not remedy. Tank is not full, already cleaned filter. Worked fine at 50% setting for 2 years. Thank you.

Thank you for contacting ManageMyLife.com regarding your Kenmore dehumidifier. I see Anna provided you with some great information. I know it can be frustrating when the unit has flashing lights and shuts off. I'm happy to help you today.

Your symptoms indicate the control board or sensor assembly has failed. It can be difficult to make the determination between these components and I recommend having a technician make these checks. If the bucket is not firmly in place, this too would cause the unit to shut off.  Here is a link that will provide the nearest drop-off locations: Sears Home Services .

I really hope this information helps you today. Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.
