Kenmore HE2 Washer Not Spinning

I have a Kenmore HE2 Plus washing machine (model 110.47532600). I started getting an F1 error message and the machine was not spinning the clothes..they came out sopping wet. After reading the posts on Manage My Life, I replaced the pump at the bottom of the machine and the CCU a few weeks ago. The machine worked okay for the most part after that (it would spin the clothes fast), though a few loads like small rugs still came out very wet. Now it is not spinning at all. What is the next step?

good afternoon... f 1 is usually a form of communication disruption of some kind. i have provided a link below that will give a full page of issues that would cause the unit not to spin. review this data while you are waiting for an expert response. i hope this is helpful to you and have a nice day.

if that f1 is being displayed again, then you may have another problem with the central control unit (ccu).

if you do not see a fault code, then the new ccu may not display fault codes in the normal operating mode. you can start the diagnostic test mode with history that is shown in the first image below. the last fault code encountered by the control will be displayed at the start of that test. the washer will then cycle through the test program shown in that image. if a problem is encountered, a fault code will be displayed in that test mode. this should help you determine the cause of your problem. the fault codes for your washer are listed in the second image.

you can order parts from this page: kenmore he2 washer model 110.47532600 parts . be sure that you unplug the washer before accessing and replacing internal components.

if you need more help, reply with additional details including the current error code that is being displayed.

if you get to the point where you need to have a service technician examine and repair the washer, you can schedule service through this link: sears home services .

after replacing the control unit and pump and still not having a machine that would spin the clothes, i ended up calling sears home services. they sent me an estimate for $79.95 for the visit with 15% off..or $67.95 (it would obviously be more if i needed parts replaced). the guy couldn't get the problem to recur -- he said i might be using too much detergent or i might have my drain house too far down the drain pipe..they only need to intersect for a few inches. so far so good. then he charged me over $100! sears refuses to tell me why the charge was higher than the estimate they gave me. it couldn't have been the amount of time. the dude was only here for ten minutes. i am disputing the charge with my credit card card company. i have had a good experience with sears parts and managemylife but i'd think twice before calling sears home services.
