Cabrio dryer not drying clothes.

My Cabrio Dryer will not dry a load of clothes in less than 90 minutes on high. We have checked the venting and it is clear. The dryer is level, and is located in a closet on the 2nd floor of our home. We always have the closet open when running the dryer. We have gotten an F1 error previously, but it cleared and has not come back on in a couple of weeks. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry about the difficulties your having with your Cabrio Dryer. I did some research for you at Managemylife.com and found an excellent video that addresses a similar question that I hope will help until your expert can answer your specific question. Hello,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

I am sorry you are having problems with your dryer.

Without your model number I am only able to give you general information.

The first thing I recommend checking is the exhaust temperatures. Since I do not know if this is a gas dryer, VENTILATE your laundry area VERY well. Then you will need to gain access to the back of the dryer. Take the vent off the dryer and run the dryer in a high heat cycle. Measure the temperature for several minutes. I am including an image below that contains the exhaust temperature chart. Do not leave the exhaust off your dryer and continue to use it, this can be very dangerous.

Next I recommend running the diagnostics and checking for error codes or failures. The diagnostic cycle is also included in the image below.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Please perform the diagnostic tests detailed here and report back with your findings. I am looking forward to assisting you again in the near future.

Thanks again for using Manage My Life.
