it can be extremely frustrating when your washer begins to malfunction and not cycle properly. i did some research and provided a link to a similar question and answer on our site. i hope this will give you a better idea on the next step to take until the expert responds to your question in more detail within 24 to 48 hours.

thanks for the information about your washer cycling issue i will be glad to assist you.
based on your description it is unclear if the washer refills each time it starts agitating again. i f it is having to refill that would indicate a siphoning problem. siphoning is caused when the drain hoes is not correctly installed. a drain hose that fits too tightly in the stand pipe, has been modified to a longer than normal drain hose, a drain line that does not have a height of 32 inches after coming from back of washer. check all this and correct if a problem.
if the washer stays full of water, and the motor stops and restarts during the cycle i would suspect that the motor itself has a loose connection or has a bad winding and needs replacing. check all the connections to the motor and inside the cabinet for poor connections. always disconnect power supply before servicing appliance i hope this helps, should you need additional assistance please reply with details and i will be happy to respond.

thanks ron h.
