Self Propelled Lawn Mower
My Craftsman Mower (Model #917.376450) self propelled feature will not turn the drive wheel when I mow on grass. It will turn the drive wheel when I am on a hard surface or lift the drive wheel off the ground. Does the V-Belt (part #196857) need replacing or just adjusted? If adjusted, how do I do that?

There is no adjustment on the drive belt of your mower. From what you're describing the problem is either the belt or the drive wheels. Take the wheels off and inspect the "teeth" on the backside of them to make sure they are not worn down. If they are just replace the wheels. If they are fine then I think the belt will take care of the issue.
You can go HERE with the model number to order any parts you need. The belt and wheels are very likely in stock at your local Sears store if you'd like to pick them up there.
