Need to replace entire gas line. Do I have to remove the tractor body?

When it comes to working on the mower can be challenging.I have taken the time to research on the website and have located similar information towards your question. While you are waiting for a detailed reply from an expert I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question on the removal of the fuel line.

If you could reply with the complete model number from under the seat I will be able to give you more detail as to how much you will need to remove to replace the fuel line.

If the fuel goes into the top of the tank you may have to remove the seat pan to get to it. If it comes off the bottom of the gas tank you should be able to get to it above the transmission.

Please let me know what you find.

Thanks Sam, The model of the DYT 4000 is 917.273632, S/N 030504C003311 (Craftsman). I had an opportunity to look a little closer yesterday. The fuel line runs underneath the body and connects to the bottom of the tank. Perhaps just removing the left rear tire and wheel will give access to the line. Would like a 2nd opinion. Thank you, Jerry
