I have an engine mod. 143.006700. After priming, it runs a few seconds then stops. What is the float setting?
It is a walk behind mower, 6.75Hp, model 917.37790, serial 022500M 19024. It is engine model 143.006700. I've cleaned the carb without taking it completely apart. The float bowl has fuel in it but the fuel is not getting thru to cylinder. It is getting a good spark. It runs for a few seconds after priming but then stops. If I could check the specification on the float adjustment/setting it may solve the problem. I just need the specs. Thank you

The float clearance for your mower is .015.
If this doesn't solve the problem, the carburetor will have to have a rebuild kit and a good cleaning or replace the carburetor.

Hi I have a similar issue with this lawn mower: 917.377390 SN: 052600M026078 Engine 143.006700 LEV120-361501A It will start and run for a moment or two. Holding the prime bulb down will allow it to run for longer (not the best position to try to mow the lawn!) I understand the solution you give, but I'm curious about what is likely happening to cause this. Thanks
