Replace craftsman 25cc trimmer head
Hi, I am trying to find the answer on how to take the craftsman 25cc trimmer head off so I can replace it. The model # 316.794450. Thank you for your help. Justin

Thank you for your question. To remove the trimmer head, the string will need to be removed, so the cap (# 22 in image) can be removed. Now use a pair of needlenose pliers and a small screwdriver to remove the retainer ( # 21) and the head can then be removed. It's possible the retainer # 791-610661 may be damaged in this process and would then need to be replaced also. I hope this will help you.

i bought a rhino tuff pivot trim trimmer head to replace the head on my trimmer model 316.794450. it is not compatible with the shaft. are there any other heads that are compatible with this model, or is it just that one?

Dean, I'm not showing any other head assembly other than the one listed # 753-06764 for this trimmer.
