I know that it can be difficult to have your equipment not working properly. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I have found two links that will provide some information on the issue. I would suggest that you change all the fuel lines with the primer bulb, this way you know everything works. I hope these help.

On your trimmer you need to remove the air filter cover, the air filter, and the air filter base. Then you will have access to the primer bulb. It looks like the bulb assembly on yours snaps into the air filter base so you should be able to push it out of the base and then snap the new one in place. The primer bulb is part number 530047721 and is available HERE .

Sounds like a lot of bother just to get to the primer bulb! Repair parts breakdown page 20 instruction manuel. Is there a larger blow up available of how to take all of this apart?

David Benny,
I will be happy to assist you with replacing the primmer. First, move the trimmer to a well ventilated area to work on. Then remove the air filter and cover. Behind the air filter, you will see two screws that secure the filter base and the carburetor. Remove those two screws. Once they are removed, you should be able to access the primmer. Before removing the fuel line, note how they are connected. Then remove the lines and primmer. To install the primmer just reverse these instructions. I posted an image below that will aid in the repair.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance. Thank you for using Manage My Life! Mark T.
