Craftsman # 358.791170 engine problems
Craftsman # 358.791170 WEEDWACKER After Sears repairs for "motor not powering up" (4 times in last 6 weeks.), it will run for about ten minutes and stop. They have replaced the ignition module three times. the spark plug twice and the muffler once and the result is the same, run for about ten minutes and then stop. Think someone should be checking the carb. or related gas problems? I have tried using new gas twice, same problem. I use additive to help with the ethanol problems. I have another Trimmer, a Blower and a Chain Saw which run fine.

When it comes to our tools giving us problems all we can think about is money out the window. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I suggest you set service with a Sears technician. I have attached the link below. Have a nice day!

Thank you for your question on the trimmer that is stopping after ten minutes.
I am sorry that your machine is giving you this much of a problem. It certainly can be disappointing to not be able to get the trimmer fixed correctly.
Have you looked to see if the fuel lines in the fuel tank are not cracked or broken and it will only run with a full tank of fuel?
I have a suggestion if you want to do it. I have spoken with the technical support at Poulan.com/service and the technician suggested that you take it to a local Poulan service center because of the unusual problem you are having and they would like to find out what the problem is and if need be replace the unit for you.
I will give you the link to Poulan.com/service and all you have to do is put in your zip code to find the service nearest you and take it in for service.
I you want to take it back to Sear�s service that is fine also but it apparrantly has a problem they cannot find or they are not running it long enough for the problem to show up.
