Kenmore Water Softener IntelliSoft 350 Series No Water Indicated On Flow Indicator On LCD display.

I am wondering if anyone knows how to resolve an issue on my water softener? When I look at the LCD display and turn on a water source that is hooked up the the soft water it does not indacate any water is flowing in the LCD display on the softner. I am not sure what to look at or replace in order to have this working again. Also I am not even sure I need this to show water flow. Any help would be appricated. Thanks in advance. Brett Lyon

thanks for your help. i believe the problem is with the water flow sensor. i have taken this out and put a magnet on it and nothing happens. does this mean its the sensor?

yes, the machine needs to register that water is being used. otherwise it will not regenerate when it's time and you will end up with hard water.

on the inlet valve there is a little sensor and inside that pipe there is a little turbine. one or both could have failed. you will need to put the water into bypass via the bypass valve so you can take the intake pipe loose. check the turbine to make sure it's there and able to move. if that looks good then the sensor is the problem. if the turbine is not there or has blades missing from it (it will be obvious) then replace the turbine.

you can go here with the model number to order the needed parts for your softener.

thank you for using manage my life!
