Why am I not able to enter a model number or part number on the screen?
If you are not able to enter a model number or part number in the input fields (or if the input fields are not visible), there are two possible reasons:
- 1. JavaScript is disabled on your desktop and/or
- 2. Your firewall software is interfering with the site functionality.
This is how www.SearsPartsDirect.com appears when JavaScript is enabled and/or the site is recognized as a trusted site in your firewall software.
This is how www.SearsPartsDirect.com appears when JavaScript is disabled and/or your personal firewall has blocked the site.
Enabling JavaScript is easy!
In Internet Explorer:
- 1. Click on 'Tools'.
- 2. Click on 'Internet Options'.
- 3. Click on the 'Security' tab.
- 4. If www.SearsPartsDirect.com is not in the trusted sites, it will be in the 'Internet' zone, so click on Internet.
- 5. Ensure that the default level of 'Medium' or 'Medium-high' is selected. Refresh the browser.
If you're still not able to input your information, you may be running firewall software that is limiting the site's functionality.
How to add www.SearsPartsDirect.com to CA® Personal Firewall trusted sites:
- 1. Open CA Personal Firewall.
