Internet Browser Requirements

The Sears PartsDirect site has been optimized for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher and Mozilla Firefox 1.5 or higher. If you don't use these browsers, you may experience difficulty viewing some areas of our site.

Internet Browser Issues

The Sears PartsDirect site requires that the browser supports JavaScript and that this functionality has been enabled.

To enable JavaScript try following these instructions.

Internet Explorer 6 or Higher

  • From the main menu select "Tools" then "Internet Options..."
  • Click the tab labeled "Security"



  • Click "Custom Level..."
  • Scroll down until you reach a section called "Scripting"
  • Ensure "Active scripting" is enabled



  • Click "OK" to apply the changes
  • If a confirmation window pops up, select "Yes" to apply the changes
  • Close remaining windows and refresh the browser (F5)


FireFox 1.5 or Higher

  • From the main menu select "Tools" then "Options..."
  • Click the tab labeled "Content"
  • Ensure "Enable JavaScript" is enabled (Checked)



      • Click "OK" to apply the change
      • Refresh the browser window (Ctrl-R)
