Peerless faucets look great and deliver lasting performance for years, but faucet parts can occasionally loosen or become damaged, leading to leaks under the handle. There are three easy ways to deal with this common issue.

Tighten the Ring

One of the most versatile faucet parts common in Peerless installations is the adjustment ring. This ring helps create a barrier against leaks in the area around the handle. Tighten the ring to ensure a more snug fit; this should help eliminate leaking from the handle area. If the ring appears cracked or worn, replacing the part may help solve the problem.

Check the Ball Assembly

Many Peerless parts are easily interchangeable, letting you swap them out for replacements when they become worn over time. Check the ball assembly, which is located near the base of the handle area. The ball assembly allows the handle to move freely, and water may drip from the area when it becomes loose. Replacing the ball assembly can help prevent leaks originating from the base of the handle.

Replace Cam and Packing Components

The cam and packing components of the sink may also wear unevenly or become damaged through rough or long-term use. These components are located between the adjusting ring and the ball, and they also feature an easily swappable design that allows for quick replacement. Inspect the damaged components to determine how they became worn. Disfigured components could be a sign of other issues, including overly rough handling or misalignment of the parts during the installation process.
