Kenmore Elite cooktop-parts Parts
Even the best cooktops occasionally require a bit of maintenance or repair after prolonged and continued use. Kenmore Elite cooktop parts keep a range in top shape, so families can cook with confidence.
Check the Power Supply
One of the first steps in cooktop troubleshooting is to check the power supply. If the cord is well connected to the unit, check the fuse box to ensure that there is not a blown circuit in the house. Another cause that mimics no power in the cooktop is lack of gas. If the gas supply is low or empty, the cooktop can fail to work. If these steps pass troubleshooting, the cooktop may need a power cord or circuit board replacement.
Examine the Igniter
If the igniter is making a clicking sound and is producing no heat, it may simply be wet. Igniter switches can often become damp or wet after being cleaned. Wait until the switch has dried, and it may stop clicking and ignite again. Other common problems may be a faulty igniter switch or igniter module. These cooktop parts are simple to locate and easy to replace.
View the Heating Element
If there seems to be no heat emanating from the cooktop, the coil surface element may be damaged or worn. An easy replacement, it simply plugs into the terminal block. If this does not solve the problem, the terminal element switch or module may require replacement.
