Check Error Codes
GE wall ovens may display error codes to communicate the necessary wall oven repair. Codes F0, F1 or F7 can indicate that you need a new key panel or control board. F2, F3 and F4 relate to problems with the oven temperature sensor — use a volt meter to ensure the sensor is operating within the range specified in the oven manual. Code FC communicates an issue with the door lock, and code FF indicates an error in the electronic control board.
Verify Power Supply
Occasionally, GE wall ovens stop working completely due to a faulty power supply. Test the oven's power outlet with another device to ensure that electricity is flowing. If it doesn't work, look for a tripped circuit breaker. Then, check the oven's thermal fuse, which can trip after the oven completes a cleaning cycle. If electricity is reaching the oven but it still won't heat, you may need to replace wall oven parts such as the electronic control board.
Test Cooking Functions
If your oven stops heating, baking or broiling, test each function. If the oven will broil but not bake, you may need to replace the bake element. An oven that won't broil usually needs a new broil burner. When none of the functions work in a gas oven, the problem may be a failed igniter or blocked gas valve. For electric ovens, check the thermostat, bake element or broil element.
