Question and Answers

Q:

GE Monogram electric wall oven temperature not rising

A:

Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem with the oven and I can understand your concern. Now, the cooling fan should not keep the oven from reaching the set temperature. This could be a prolem with the control board, the sensor or the element. If the bake element fails, the unit will still preheat with the broil element but it will cycle on and off in the normal preheat mode, so the temperature will not reach the set temperature. I would recommend having a technician make this check and repair. I'm listing a site you can access, to schedule a tech to come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services. I hope this will help you.

Hello Duke. That wall oven does require 240 volt AC power. The instructions for connecting the power supply are shown in the image below. Here is a copy of the installation instructions for that wall oven: Installation Instructions for GE Monogram Wall Oven Model ZET938SF3SS . Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breakers for the wall oven before accessing the power supply wiring and internal oven components.

A power supply problem could be preventing the oven from heating. The display will power up if only 120 volts of power is supplied to the wall oven. If the second leg of 240 volt power is not supplied to the wall oven, then it will not heat. I recommend that you check that issue first.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.
