A:

Error codes can be an inconvenience and keep the washer from working properly and I am sorry for the inconvenience. I suggest you add to the thread of this question and include the full and correct model number of your washer so that the expert can provide you with a more detailed answer. I was able to find two links that will guide you with your repair. I hope this helps while you wait for your expert response.

The F24 error code indicates a problem with the water temperature sensor. The technical explanation for this code is provided in the first image below. The location of the temperature sensor is shown in the second image. The temperature sensor is Key 24. The third image provides the testing procedure for this component. To access the temperature sensor, unplug the washer and remove the back panel. Unplug the wire harness connection to the sensor and check the resistance with a volt/ohm meter. If the sensor is apparently bad, it will need to be replaced.

You can order a new temperature sensor from Sears PartsDirect

If the thermistor tests good, you could have a water fill problem, a wire harness connection issue or a failed control board that would cause this error code.

If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details and please check the full model number of your washer.
