A:

The first image below shows the entire wiring diagram for your range. The second image shows the connections for the transformer and the user interface control board. I traced some of the essential wiring connections in green and blue (not the actual wire colors). You could have a blown thermal cut-off fuse or a bad transformer. A loose wiring connection or a bad user interface control board would also cause this problem. That information may be what you need to diagnose and repair that failure. Be sure that you unplug the range before accessing internal components. You can view parts on this page: KitchenAid Range YKERS807SP00 Parts .

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

Hi Lyle, I have checked voltage in block P1 (ACV from 17 to 28 volt, DCV 7 volt,) and I checked P2 (DCV 5.3 volt), it seems like thermal cutoff and transformer are ok. How can I check if the Switch and Electrical Control work?

A:

Denis,

Lyle is taking some vacation time. I will be answering his questions for a few days.

If you have voltage to the user interface out of the transformer and the user interface will not light up, you need to replace the user interface (part number W10181439). Those specific voltages are: pins 1 to 2 = 3.5VAC (yellow wires), pins 2 to 3 = 3.5VAC (yellow wires), pins 4 to 5 = 12VAC (blue wires), and pins 6 to 7 = 26 to 42VAC (red wires).

I hope this is helpful. Check the things I have covered here and if I may be of further assistance please reply to this post.
