Q:

replacing a heating coil on a haier xqg50-11

A:

When replacing a heating coil on Haier can get a little difficult with out instructions, A suggestion I have is to see your owner's manual for replacing. I found your manual in Manage My Life website. I attached the link below. Hope this helps! http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/owner_manuals/13701/HAIER-Laundry-Centers-L0501606?brand_name_search=xqg50-11+

I recommend that you have a service technician diagnose and repair a heating failure in this machine. This is a complicated appliance to diagnose and repair properly. If you are advanced in technical skills, you may be able to use the tips provided below to repair the laundry center.

I provided some images below that should help you access the heating coil. Unplug the laundry center and shut off the water supply before accessing internal components.

After you pull off the top panel, I recommend that you check the thermal fuse on the heating element before you proceed further. If this fuse is blown, it will prevent the coil from heating.

You will need to remove the heater manifold to access the coil. This can be challenging.

This information may help you access and replace the heating coil in this unit. If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will try to assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
