Hi,

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your appliance not working.

The issue you have mentioned could be caused by the motor or the gearcase, followed by the control board.

In spin the motor reverses and the gearcase spins the basket.  Is the motor driving the belt in spin?  If so the motor is reversing and the fault is likely the gearcase.  It the motor is not driving the belt, the voltage and the motor should be checked using a multimeter.

NOTE:  Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service.

Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts.

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help.

Q:

WE have a GE washer model#wwse5200b2ww that for the second time in two years is not draining. We had it repaired by sears about a year ago and saw that the part

A:

The part number for the pump is WH23X10013 and it can be obtained from the following link: Sears PartsDirect .

The WH23X10013 pump is actually an improved pump and it has been out for awhile with no issues with this pump. The previous washer pump did have some clogging issues and this pump replaced it and has been an improvement.

This is the pump that you should have had installed 2 years ago. There are no know issues with this pump failing prematurely.

The images below may help you with this project. Remember to unplug the washer first.
