In theory to remove the agitator on this model you simply pull straight up on it. It is pressed down upon the drive hub and it is a tight fit. Over time it can become difficult to remove.

One trick is to use an old washer belt and loop it under one edge of the agitator. With one hand pulling on the belt and the other pushing on the agitator try to rock it back and forth to free it.

It should come off at some point but there is nothing holding it. It is just stuck. If possible fill the tub with hot water and let is soak.

You can reply with any additional details for further assistance.
