A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your washer. Upon researching modelWTW6200VW0; the code SD indicates a suds-lock condition. It could be a load is bunched or twisted around the agitator. There could be excessive detergent used. The basket cannot engage during drain step. There could be mechanical friction on drive mechanism, not allowing the basket to engage.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Q:

Spin cycle WTW6200VW0 Whirlpool Washer

A:

You could have an item stuck between the stainless steel spin basket and the outer plastic tub. Check the holes in the spin basket to see if an item is stuck through one of the holes in the basket. If you do not find an item stuck in any of the holes of the spin basket, then I recommend that you unplug the washer and remove the spin basket. The image below shows how to remove the spin basket in your Whirlpool washer.

If you do not find an item stuck between the spin basket and the outer plastic tub, then remove the cover on the drain pump and check for coins or other foreign objects that may have been sucked into that area.

If you do not find the cause of the grinding noise by following the above tips, then you may have a bad spin bearing at the bottom of the outer plastic tub. Replacing the outer plastic tub will fix your problem if the bearing is bad.

I hope that this information helps. If you need further assistance, let us know.

Thanks for choosing Sears PartsDirect.
