Question and Answers

Q:

The UL code keeps coming in during spin cycle WTW6200SW0 Whirlpool Residential washers

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I understand how frustrating it can be when the washer does not function properly. The unbalanced load (UL) code can be caused by overloading, worn bearings, bad control board or an obstruction between the tubs. Please contact our Sears service team at 1-800-469-4663 as I show that there has been some rework done on this model. We will be able to provide you with more information when you call.
If you have further questions please let me know. Thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

Thank you for your question. Can you see water in the tub, or do you hear water when you turn the tub? If you hear water when the tub turns, it is the drum that has a liquid inside, it is the balancing ring filled with liquid to keep it balanced. If this is the case, there is no problem. But if you see water in the tub that didn't drain, you need to check the pump and the hose from the pump to the outer tub. Look for restrictions (coins, tooth pick, nail, ect.). Also check the pump impellers to make sure none of them are broke, there are three plastic impellers. If any are broken, replace the pump. The problem may be in your machine control board that is in the console. I recommend that you run the diagnostic tests shown in the video. You may need to check the area between the spin basket and the outer tub for an item if the tub does not spin freely. This information should help you determine the cause of your failure. Click here to view video. This will help with the UL code.
