Question and Answers

Q:

turning tv on WS55313 Mitsubishi Projection tv

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your Mitsubishi television model WS55313. I am so sorry it does not stay on the first 5 or 6 times you press the on button. I know the TV is a key part of our daily lives and know you want to get it fixed quickly. In this case, I recommend you have the TV repaired by a qualified technician.

We do not give repair advice on televisions because internal components in the TV can retain a dangerously high electrical charge, even when the TV is disconnected from the power supply. Here at SearsPartsDirect.com we love to help you with your home repairs but in this case, for your safety, we recommend you have the TV serviced. To set up service go to www.SearsHomeServices.com or call 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME).

Thank you for your understanding in this matter. I hope we can help you with any future repairs. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

The power supply for your model is no longer available. The part number is 930B90001. With lighting strikes almost anything could have been affected and the power supply might not be the only part that needs to be replaced. This type of situation would require a technician to diagnose the problem because lighting strikes can cause severe damage.

These are the boards that are in your TV are the main, power, signal, terminal, and doubler. But like I mentioned before, lighting strikes can cause severe damage and the problem could be on any board or a couple of boards.

Thanks again Dusty. I think it was the power board. This is unavailable now? Should I just get rid of it or is it salvageable?
