Q:

LG Washer won't start WM2701HV Lg Washer

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you’re having with the LG washer starting. I know how frustrating that is to have happen.

You state that the washer is not working at all. If the door switch is bad this washer should still fill with water but the motor will not run (agitate, drain, or spin). The first thing I recommend is checking to make sure there is voltage at the outlet. Try plugging something else into that outlet such as a hair dryer. If the outlet is working, the diagnosis of this issue will require the use of a volt/ohm meter.

There could be an issue with the user control board, the motor control board, the incoming power supply from the outlet, or maybe even a power cord connection issue. In cases such as this, we recommend having a service technician help assist with testing the live electrical circuits with a meter.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-469-4663, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.
