I have bypassed the switch. The washer will sometimes spin and sometimes not. Could it be the spanner nut slipping?

I took the agitator out and found the spanner nut was loose. The part directly under the nut was cracked. It is about the size of a dinner plate, raised up in the center. On the diagram, it doesn't show a part number for this part. It is included in the basket hub breakdown. Can I get this part separately?

Thank you for submitting your question. Rita you've done quite a bit of investigating and I will be happy to assist you further. The part you're referring to is the hub of the basket and cannot be ordered separately. You'd have to order the basket and hub assembly (WH45X10060). This is a very expensive part and it may be more cost effective to purchase a new unit. If you choose to replace the assembly you can order it from our Sears Parts Direct web site. I hope this helps. Please reply back to this thread if you require further assistance. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
