Q:

TUB DROPS WHDSR209D5WW Ge Washer

A:

I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your washer. The outer tub does not move. If the tub has shifted down, then the base is most likely damaged and needs to be replaced. If the inner tub is the problem, then you are most likely looking at bad tub bearings. In order to check either of these, you will need to disassemble the unit. If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, please click on the link to schedule service: Sears Home Services. Click on "Get Started" and follow the directions, click on the red "NEXT" button to continue. I hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help. Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.

The outer tub moves everything works. Once you put clothes in, the tub drops about a inch and the black bracket hit the bottom of the frame and rubs it so it squeaks during the wash cycle.

This sounds like the leg and platform weld attached to the bottom of the outter tub. If this is moving down, check to see if it is damaged, or if the suspension springs are not longer holding the tub in place. If they are then they will need to be replace.
