Q:

What is the wattage of my microwave.

A:

I completely understand your need for wattage to your microwave. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I did some research on the unit. At this time, I was unable to locate information that would be helpful in regards to your question. Some of these questions that are asked will need specific research and will be answered by an expert with-in two business days but usually sooner.

Packaging can be confusing. I recommend checking the microwave itself for the correct model number. It is usually on the back or inside door. The label will also have the wattage. Ignore the box and only use the information on the microwave. Please reply if further help is needed. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Hi, and thank you Julio and Barbara. The Microwave has no information regarding wattage anywhere on it. i have looked on every side, inside and out. Door jambs, inside the light bulb housing, underneath... nothing. According to the lable on the back, the model # and Serial # match that on the box, minus the RB on RB WES1452SP1SS, which i suppose designates the refubished status. So I am left with the product description on GE website or the label on the box which matches the microwave serial #. I spent an afternoon with the number in the manual alking to a rep from GE who, in the end, referred me to this site for the answer. I guess if I can not get the right information, the best thing to do would be return it and buy a different microwave. Any suggestions would be helpful

Thank you for the reply. I would recommend getting your answer from the store this unit was purchased. If you are not comfortable with a refurbished product, the best policy would be return. Products are normally refurbished by the manufacturer and the operating parameters should not change. That includes the wattage. This model shows it is 1100 watts. The box may be a misprint. You will need to contact the retailer to clear this matter up. We would not have information for the policies or products of the retailer.

Q:

3 month old GE Microwave Model# wes1452sp1ss stopped working altogether this morning.

A:

A non responsive microwave would be upsetting. Most of us use the microwave more than the ovens now. I found a previous expert post for a microwave with the same symptoms. Bear in mind the model number is a bit different, but the advice may be the same. I attached below with a link for Sears Home Services if you need an estimate or repair. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The internal line fuse has likely failed. Usually there is reason why the fuse fails and sometimes they fail for no reason.

You will need to call for service to have your microwave diagnosed and repaired. NOTE: Do not attempt to access and replace the fuse. Microwaves inherently store huge amounts of voltage even with the microwave unplugged from the power source which can cause sever bodily injuries or could be fatal.
