Question and Answers

Q:

Thermal fuse WED8300SB1

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Dryer.

From the information you have provided above, the cause for a thermal fuse to keep going out is going to be a clog or block in the vent system. I would suggest making sure all lint and debris are cleaned out and see if that makes any deference. If your certain there are no restrictions or blockages in the vent system the next thing to check is the heating element. If the heating element coil is broken in half and shorted to the heating element housing it will cause half the element to stay on and eventually cause the thermal fuse to open. If the door is opened before the timer reaches the cool down or off position; the heater can stay on.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.
