Q:

Hello. My Cabrio Dryer stopped working....it was showing a F28 code....so I replaced the MSC and it is still not working and still showing a F28 code. WED6400SW0

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your dryer. Upon researching model WED6400SW0; there are a couple parts that could cause this issue. The moisture sensor or wiring harness could cause this. The thermistor and main control board could have an issue. Check the wiring harness for any damage. The thermistor resistance should be 11.5k-13.5k at 70 degrees and 8.5k-10.5k at 80.If all the parts are ok then the board could be malfunctioning.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when dryer isn't running or heating.

I looked it up and for it not rotating sounds like you broke a belt.  Lots of times when the belt brakes, that causes the thermal fuse to go bad.   The thermal fuse goes bad will stop it from heating.

I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link below to be taken to the page.
