Hello glad to help. Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. I am sorry and do understand your frustration when your Tv is not working properly. Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number WD-65735. The manual shows replacing the "DLP CHIP" corrects the white spots on the screen. You may want to contact Mitsubishi for the correct part number.

If you have further questions please let me know.
Thanks for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and good luck.

Q:

Replaced bulb in model wd-65735 mitsubishi tv. Sometimes the picture will come on and sometimes it won't. The bulb is good. Have been told that it is the safety

A:

I think you should first try reseating the lamp. I have seen issues with this before on other TVs. If not then we would want to see if the TV is giving an error code when it blanks out. The normal operation would be that the timer/power LED is green while the TV is on. If the lamp or status LEDs are lit then there is an error code logged. Since you have already replaced the lamp and reseated it I would recommend contacting service.

If the timer/power LED is green then see if you can a little bit of brightness in the screen. I would suspect that the lamp is on. If it is then it could be a signal problem. Check the menu and if there check what you have plugged into the TV for a source. If the lamp is out you have already changed it and reseated it so contact a service provider.
