Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your washer is not working properly. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found instructions to assist you.

To enter Service mode: Press signal-delay-dignal-delay(within 30 seconds of plugging washer in.

Let me know what error code pops up.

I am thinking it could either be the door lock assembly for the control board.
I would first try the diagnotics and then we can go further with troubleshooting.

Wow! This is "expert" advice? I am having the same issue....Help please! No leaks, just keeps filling tub with water and that's it. Have to do the drain/spin cycle also, that's the only thing that works...

FYI... It was the belt for something that was frayed (can't remember which one now). I had an appliance repair person come look at it and it was a $5 part. I paid a total of $80 for the repair. Well worth it. I didn't bother calling Sears since I had a feeling I would be over charged. I hope this helps anyone in the future, especially since for the cost of a control board, you can buy a brand new washer.

Q:

My GE WCVH6800J1WW washer will not fill with water WCVH6800J1WW Ge Washer

A:

Thank you for choosing sears I would be happy to help you with your washer. Upon researching model WCVH6800J1WW; it sounds like you may need to replace the inlet water valve. The water valve allows the water from your home to go into the washer and start to fill up the tub as needed. When the valve fails it can cause the washer not to fill with water. I have posted a link below of the water valve.

I trust this information will help you, have a great day.
