You should be able to enter a diagnostic test cycle especially with a new control and door lock. The instructions to enter the test are in the image below. Try this again and see if you can bring up the t01 to start and if successful try to2 for error codes. Let me know if this helps and will figure out the next step.

I have not been able to enter the diagnostic mode. However, all buttons, and knob take commands. No matter what the setting though the machine will only count down.

If all the buttons and knob work then the failure to enter a diagnostic test indicates a control board failure. At this poin I suggest a service call: Sears Homes Services . The control board cost over $200 dollars and is difficult to return if not needed. My first suggestion is to review the instructions above and try to enter the test again.

That pump filter is designed to catch the items that you are describing. The paper and other debris will clog up the drain path. See if the washer will work properly (and drain the water properly) with no clothes and no detergent added. If it does, then there is not likely any component problems in the washer itself.

Check the pockets of all garments that you place in the washer. This will prevent the foreign objects like paper and clips from winding up in the large item filter and clogging the drain path. Use the appropriate amount of HE (High Efficiency) laundry detergent to prevent excessive suds that can prevent the washer from draining properly. You should only need about 1 tablespoon of HE detergent per wash load.

If the washer will not work properly when running the test cycle with no clothes and detergent added, then you probably have a component failure that will need to be repaired by service technician. You can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

If you want to fix a component problem in the washer yourself, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.
